Palo Alto prairie, about 7 miles from Fort Brown, Texas, on the lower Rio Grande.
I recd. them from Dr. Merrill 25 Jan 1882. "Nest about 12 ft. from the ground, on the top of a Yucca, or Spanish Bayonet tree, a slightly depressed platform of twigs, with a little grass for lining."
