[L. card] this set of 4 eggs given to me by the collector [S. card] Nest discovered in a 20 ft. spruce tree semi detached in edge of isolated hemlock & spruce forest. Nest placed on bough - near the end, about 7 feet from ground -[illeg.] [illeg.] - 1.5. The edge of nest flush with surrounding twigs of spruce: and [illeg.] concealed with overhanging [ditto?]. Set complete on June 20: which in later measuring - #1 - .68 x .48 #2 - .69 x .48 #3 - .68 x .49 #4 - .68 x .49. Collected by W. L. Medcalf, Walpole, Maine.
