him a power of attorney for Uncle Howell. Your letter of the 29" July is the first and only intimation I have had, that the deed was received by him, and I have no intimation that the power attorney was received. 
I will sign any deed for Watkin by which I convey only my interest, but I will not sign a warranty deed conveying all that property, unless all and each party holding an interest in the place can and will sign it. 
Was I right in telling Watt that James would be of age this fall. But we will settle this business when I come home. 
I was in hopes you would come to some understanding with Uncle James about the matter last fall which I thought and still think you ought to have done I have not the least doubt but I will be here to get your reply to this letter Good bye, much love Your boy J. V. Bean
