Ann Arbor Nov. 22d. 1869. My Dear Mother; I recieved your letter almost a week ago telling me that you would send the box would be sent the 12th. and other good news; the box came to Ann Arbor express office last Monday night: but on account of the snow which fell Tuesday the roads were bad enough to give the express agent a ground for excuse, so that my precious box did not reach here until Wednesday night I mean me at church Street. The box came as will as if you had known my st. and number previous to sending it. I did not expect near so large a box as you sent and I am very much afraid it a great self denial to you to send
