answred Ann Arbor Nov 13th. 1870 Dear Sister Mary, I hope you and dear Mother enjoid your visit at Spring. I suppose of course you did for they try to make it pleasent for visiters and most always in such a case visitors can enjoy themselves if the want to. I was so glad to hear that you were at Spring. I think it is one of the best of plans for you to visit all you can and enjoy yourselves as much as possible while John and I am away and then the time will not seem so long - until we shall again come together again. You should do this both for pleasure of the thing and to pass away the time for John and I are
