never to return here again to brighten a languished little scattered family - Pray for me always & for Jennie encourage her Tell Jennie to pray for me too - This country did agree with me to a wonderful extent until bad weather & news of trouble reached my ears & the doom settled down upon me - For I got my ear too plainly filled with the deep hollow rattle of my Beloved Darlings breathing when I held her in my arms as I kissed & rekissed the precious child the night - I bid her good bye all unintentional but still I herd it - And when [I got the news?] Christmas
