February, TUESDAY 9, 1864 Went on guard post at the gate. Paymaster finished paying 34th. regt. Co. drill in AM PM. Weather pleasant. WEDNESDAY 10. Came off guard. Co. drill in AM & PM. Sent home ($15.00) fifteen dollars. (P Hurley Co. G went to bed under the influence of liquor from which sleep he never awoke.) THURSDAY 11. Co drill with sidearms in AM. Co. drill in PM. Weather Cool.
