March, MONDAY 7, 1864 (Ordered to strike tents at 9 o'clock to move at 11. Relieved by some of the 8th Conn about 3 o'clock when we got abord of the cars. Arrived at the Ferry about 5 but kept on to Martinsburg.) TUESDAY 8. Marched to our camp ground where we pitched our shelter tents. Col G D Wells took command of a brigade at Martinsburg. WEDNESDAY 9. Our knapsack brought to camp by Teams. The regiments teams arrived; bringing [bords?] and other things belonging to the camp.
