May, FRIDAY 6, 1864 The force under the command of Gen. Sigal in camp at Winchester. Had 4 days rations issued to us. Brigade drill this P.M. by Col Thorban, Gen. Sigal and Sullivan were present. Weather pleasant and warm. SATURDAY 7. Co. drill and Co inspection in A M. no drill or dress parade in P M. Weather warm and pleasant. Right wing went on picket this morning at sunrise. SUNDAY 8. Co Inspection in A M, Dress parade this P M at which the court-martial of 2 Co C men and one Co J man were read the Co C men were charged with throwing away cartridges and were sentenced to have [?] deducted from their pay
