May, THURSDAY 12, 1864 In camp about 2 miles from Woodstock. An order read to the company prohibiting the use of Flour not furnished by the Commissary. Came off guard this morning. Weather showery all day. FRIDAY 13. A scouting party came in from Front Royal bringing some prisoners and five wagons. Weather showery in A.M. Cleared off in P M. SATURDAY 14. Got in readiness to march and marched at about 10 o'clock AM. Cavalry skirmishing in AM between Mt Jackson and New Market. Batt's opened on the rebs about 10 o'clock P.M. 34th in supporting distance at 5 [0 yds?
