May, SATURDAY 21, 1864 In camp to'day at Strawsburg. weather warm and pleasant. Some of those that were left behin at Martinsburg joined the regiment again this PM. SUNDAY 22. Left camp to day at 10 o'clock and went on picket out to Fisher Hill. Gen Sigel left for the army of the Potomac having been releived by Gen Hunter. An order issued to day allowing a regiment but one team. Gen Sigel allowed a regiment 6 teams; Officers making preparations. to send their baggage to the rear. Some thunder to day in PM. MONDAY 23. Co K and E releived of picket duty. Officers baggage being sent to Martinsburg. Considerable growling in camp about Gen Hunters making packmules of both Officers and men.
