May, FRIDAY 27, 1864 In camp near Woodstock. Companies sent out for forriage; considerable forriageing going on aside from authorized parties. A cavalry man caught by some "bushwhackers" while in the act of forriageing and stripped of his clothes and horse and then severely "booted" and left to make his way back to camp. Where he arrived naked. Noncom officers Drill SATURDAY 28. [Driew?] rations of [flower?] to a man [of 11 ozs?]. Noncommission officers drill this P.M at 4 o'clock. SUNDAY 29
