I expect there will be agood many soldiers wintered here I dont know whether we will or not. we left the eighth Iowa regiment at Sedalia when we left there I forgot to say that I got your letter dated Dec 5th afew days ago I have not written to George yet but I am going to right away I have never wrote but one letter to him since I have been out but I didnt get any answer to that I cant see what is the matter you said one reason that you didnt write oftener was because you didnt know where we was more than half the time it dont make any difference where we are if you just name
