if we are not attacked we will move on right away apeace further and fortify again. but I must get along a little faster with my letter we were paid off yesterday that is we were paid all that we wanted to keep or use, all that we wanted to send home the pay master reserved he has it fixed so he could send it home as well as to pay us here so we didnt want to send more than was comeing to us we were paid for four months I sent fifty dollars to you that way I suppose the paymaster will send it as soon as he gets to St Louis it may be three or four weeks before it goes but I guess it is asure thing it was got up in alegal style there was over two thousand dollars sent from our Company that way. it was all sent to Samuel Hebrew with the name given of each person that it was sent to and also the amount. I will send you twenty dollars in this letter and risk it.. nothing more at present Oliver Boardman send this to Albia Monroe County Iowa
