Bill Stegner, Fred Ceilinger Harrison & Thomas Snodgrass and many others. I come pretty near knowing the whole Regt. I expect Father would have known every man in it. the Regt was made up in Ripley & Dearborn Counties. Harrison Snodgrass is second Lieut Orin Darling is First Lt Thomas Snodgrass is Post master. Tom Wilson is asergeant in that Company if the 36th. Iowa would only come down now I would feel perfectly at home we have been looking for it for the last two weeks but I got aletter yesterday from Henry and he seemed to think they would not leave there for some time on account of there being so many sick in the Regt. new troops are landing here daily ten or twelve new Regts have landed here within the last week somethings going to be did we have all got marching orders but it would be hard to tell when will go. we all got
