new tents this morning every man got atent of his own. So according to the late order every man has to carry everything he owns even to his house. I have not got avery good pen so I had better quit writing for the present. I will send you a secesh song one thats very popular among a certain portion of the American people. I cant send you the tune of course but if you keep the words till I get home I will sing it for you I heard that song one day when it created as much excitement as anything I ever heard. it was down at the landing where there was aboat load of secesh prisoners and the whole aristocracy of Memphis was down to see them of course their sympathies all run in the same Channel. a lot of the prisoners got out on the Huricane deck and sung several southern songs the Bonnie Blue Flag among the rest they sung it well too and after they got throug they swung
