concluded to stick to mine awhile. I dont believe we will march very far or fast I know we will not have very far to go till we find the enemy in considerable force.(provided they stay there). I dont believe we will march very far all winter. in that case, being away from our big tents, I know we will need all the clothes we have got. I am going to start with everything Ive got. if I cant carry them I can throw them away. Captain sent his trunk home this morning it had my Certificate or Warrant of rank in it I had forgotten all about it. but it dont make any difference for I was going to send it home anyhow, for I have no way of taking care of it. when any of you have a chance of getting it I wish you would and take care of it for me. although its of no great importance... we have had the prettiest weather here this fall that I ever saw just warm enough and cold enough to be pleasant
