adventure.. I am all well and the health of the soldiers here is generaly tolerably good though there is some sickness the health here is not quite as good as it was at Memphis, John Hiteman has never been with us since we left Memphis he was at St Louis sick the last time I heard from him I expect he will get adischarge I guess there is no others of our Company sick that you know though John Knight is not very well I have not heard from Henry or any of the 36th. Regt for some time Capt or Henry Saunders is here now he has been here about a week he is buying Cotton we are still talking of going to Memphis but still we dont go and I dont know that we will. we have had two small snows since we came here that laid on three or four days - but it is warm enough now and we have had mud all the time Well its getting to be late bed time and I have written till I can hardly write any more..I hope you are all well. write soon and let me know Oliver
