that I have never received aletter from him yet that the boys in the Co are in good health as ageneral thing and that we would all like to see him back to the Co again. Pat Conway has been sick for some time. his disease whatever it is has settled in his eyes one of them has gone out and the other may. we are looking for his discharge papers now every day. The other boys are well every one of them I believe. we are amusing ourselves now days playing lawn ball we have a good place for that and not much drill and you better believe we give it fits. Our guard duty is not heavy we only have to furnish two guards to the Co aday. but we have considerable running around to do our Regt and the 46th..Ohio does the foraging, and the other three Regts does the picket and Patrol duty. we dont go forageing for nothing we go after feed for the teams but we generaly manage to bring in enough fresh meat and such things for ourselves to do us from one trip to another.
