times forageing some times when we are out eight or ten or twelve miles from Camp the rain will Come in torrents filling the Swamps and hollers almost to aswimming pitch. then see the mules swamp and wagons break down and see us wallering around in the mud getting them out we generaly get in from such trips way after night and not in avery good fix for inspection sometimes such trips are plesant and sometimes they Aint. Generaly Aint. but the best time we ever had forageing was one night when we didnt go forageing we went on ascout went out to Capture anotorious Guerrilla known in this part of the Country as Sol Street he has generaly about fifty men under his Command about as notorious as he is. they are well acquainted with this part of the Country. and Carry on their deeds of hostilities on our trains in perfect security one night we heard that he was going to Camp at abig plantation about seven or eight miles south east of here.
