I think Saul Streets Brigade of less than a hundred Guerrillas is all we have anything to fear from and we fear them but precious little although they are still hanging around us They tore a raill from the track on the Jackson Rail Road about three miles north of here a few days ago and expected to make a good haul but it hapened the first train that came along was an engine with just two wood cars attached. They burned the cars and damaged the engine a little but the main train the one they would like to have got hold of saw the danger in time to avoid it. however the conductor and a paymaster that was on it was captured They got off to see why the other train had stoped in the road when the guerrillas made a dash at the train but the engineer was to fast for them he backed off in time to save the train but the Paymaster and conductor were taken and Paroled. A few nights before that Street and his men came
