of us used to live in. Thomas Hinton and Harrison Hickenlooper jined our squad and we are all living peaceably together and have been ever since yesterday. We move up here yesterday. I suppose the change was made in order to get us closer to our Fort. we were camped before about a half mile from the Fort. now we are close up to it. The guerrillas cant make a dash now and cut us off from the Fort. I suppose you will find in this the short epistle I wrote about the battle of Shiloh I didnt suppose it would take up so much room or I never would have commenced it however I didnt state more than half the particulars at last. Still I will have to be more brief here after or I will never get throug. when you write you mus tell me how much of them have come to hand. I wrote to father the other day giving him some of my views of the general topics of the day I told him then
