put his little favorites into office. The boys calls it selling his Company to get himself a captains commission. (which he has finaly got) that is ahard name for it but the boys actualy feels bad over it none but soldiers or men that has experienced it knows the feelings that such things produces. Capt Allison has always been thought well of by the boys so till this thing occurred when he was elected Lieut at Albion he got the vote of every one in the Company and one or two over and the first and only chance he ever had of giving some one of the boys alift in repay he went and lifted aperfect stranger from another Company instead. we placed more confidence in him than that we all wanted to see him Capt and would have done everything in our power to get him there. but we thought then and think yet he could have got the place without disgracing the company or himself either. However we dont consider ourselves very badly disgraced we dont much like to have it noised abroad that there is
