not aman in the company fit to fill asergeants place that such men can only be found in other Companies. but still when we are known it will not be credited and where we are not known it will not hurt us So perhaps we can get over it in a few weeks. Since we cant help ourselves we are going to give him our best support. use him as we always have done as near as we can. he is agood soldier as brave an an officer as ever went into battle and he has not the domineering overbearing spirit that some have. and if he has not the confidence and respect for the Company that an officer ought to have we can overlook it. Well I will have to Close for the want of space I hope this will find you all as well as I am. Write as soon as you can. let me know how you are all getting along what kind of weather you are having what your plans are for farming this summer and as much else as you can think of Nothing more at present Oliver Boardman
