May 4th traveled about 15 miles. Went into about 1oclock. Camped within 3 miles of Ripley on Large plantations of 6 sections in one body. May 5th arrived at Camp at Lagrange about 10 at night. Traveled that day about 42 miles. May 9th received four months pay. May 10th made preperations for another scout. 
May 11th Revelle 2 A M left Camp at 5 started on scout with 2nd Iowa Cav Col Hatch in Command. Traveled in south west direction Crossing Wolf River near Lagrange Passed through Mt Pleasant just after dinner crossed coldwater in evening camped about 6 miles beyond. Traveled during the day thirty miles. 
May 12th Revelle 2 started 5 traveled 30 miles Direction South west Passed throug wallhill & Buck Snort on [?] Cross roads Camped near Luxahoma. Each company
