Sent out Scouting parties during the day to gather up horses and mules. orderly and I went from our company with Squad of 12 men. we brought in 12 horses and five mules got to Camp about eight oclock May 13th Started at 6 A.M. Passed through Luxahoma. Traveled almost west to Senatoba. took about twenty prisoners Rested an hour or two. then went back the road we came about 7 miles. Left the main road about 3 miles to the west Camped on Jim Wolf Creek. on Cox's plantation. Had scouting parties out as usual during the day. I was out with Squad in the forenoon. also after going into Camp. May 14th Commenced moving out about 6 oclock but before getting fairly straightened were fired into from a six Pounder on the opposite side of the creek Some three or four Shots were fired but without effect. We moved on in North easterly direction Coming into the main road about 9 oclock
