Regt there. It was reported they had gone to La Grange Via Mt Pleasant. May 26th Got apass from Col Loomis to take us through to Lagrange where we arrived about four oclock that evening and found we were not the only ones that had missed the road. Squads from other companies had been coming in since evening before May 27th Regt came into Camp about 10 A.M. Coming Via Colierville distance from Colierville to La Grange 27 miles. May 30th Company E and H of 6th Iowa and 2 Companies of 2nd Iowa Cavalry on Scout went as far as Salem and returned to Camp at 4 P.M. June 4th Got marching orders June 5th Gave up our mules 6th Got on the cars Left La Grange at 4 P.M. arrived at Memphis & Camped just out of town June 7th Got on board the Henry Von Phul. in the evening our teams came in from La Grange with the camp and the equipage
