I had almost forgotten to say that I love you, and for fear somebody might know will close by relating an anecdote of the man who disliked the idea of saying prayers every night, so he had one written and pasted up at the foot of his bed and every night would say, pointing to the paper "Oh, Lord, Thou knowest those are my sentiments." So you have some Letters which fully contain my Sentiments. I refer Thee to them. Let Homer read this, to his condemnation, or that of any friend who may wish to hear "the latest news."
