a task I never seen men tired out so most of us lay down without our supper [hutton?] and I had a good supper with the Captain and lieutenants I feel better this morning 29 we started at daylight it is about 23 to Coldwater here we are for the night one 1/2 mile from the ferry the Cavelry had a sckermish last night and took 25 rebels we expect to make a juntion here with 10,000 from memphis the railroad is 16 miles from the ferry the Taleathe
