the direction of Jackson I think to look after Johnson 5 part of our pioner core have gone and our brigade started this mrning I have been sick but I expect to go in the morning 6 the generals are buisy paroleing the rebels the oficers are alowed their side arms and mules and we are going to give them 5 day rations 7 we have had a fight at black river and taken 900 prisoners they came in to be paroled yesterday
