To dress [illegible] Scrape it clean, and cut it in pieces about an inch long then stew it in a little weak white broth 3 or four hours very slowly. And thin with white sauce Honey Soap I lb of soap to be shaved as thin as possible into a jar first put in jar about a spoonful of water/ Then add 2 oz of honey & a table spoonful of [hazel?] oil, set the jar into a saucepan of water & put it over the fire till quite dissolved then add [6?] penny worth of essence of cinnamon To destroy Bugs [illegible] of Mercury 2 oz dissolved in a pint of spirits of wine & rubbed with a a feather in evry place or crevice where they are likely to be found dashing the bedstead first with cold water
