Holiday Sugar Cookies 1/2 Cup shortening 3/4 " sugar 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 " grated orange peel 2 cups enriched flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 " B. Powder 1/2 " Soda 2 to 3 tablespoon Milk Cream thoroly shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Add vanilla and grated orange peel. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk mix thoroly. Roll 1/8 in thick on lightly floured surface Cut with floured cooky cutter Bake in moderate oven 375F 12 minutes. Cool cover with snow glaze icing, colored sugar gum drops or Cinnamon drops.
