Curacoa To six bottles of whiskey free of peat flavor take 12 sweet & 4 bitter oranges & 4 lemons; wash the fruit well, & dry it & put it all whole into a wide mouthed jar with 4 pounds of fine loaf sugar. Stir it well every day for a fortnight or 3 weeks then take out the fruit & bottle the liquor which is then fit for use, but much improved by keeping when the fruit is taken out of the jar
