Molasses cookies Mrs Schnieding 3/4 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 egg 4 tabl. molasses 2 cups sifted flour 1/4 teas. salt 2 teas. soda 1 teas. cinnamon 1 teas. ground ginger 1/2 teas. ground cloves Cream butter, sugar. Blend in beaten egg add molasses add dry ingredients which have been sifted together chill dough in refrigerator over nite. Roll in small balls, dip in granulated sugar Bake upon greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate 350 oven 15 minutes.
