Sally Lunns - Mrs Atwood. 1 lb flour, rub in 2 oz butter, 3 eggs well beaten 2 tablespoonsful of yeast, a little salt - & sufficient milk to make a batter - set it in a warm place to rise - to be eaten hot. - Spanish Buns 1 1/4 flour 1/2 lb butter, lightly rubbed together, 4 eggs well beaten, 1 glass of brandy - wine, & rose water mixed 1 wine glass of yeast - 1 pint of milk, 1 teaspoonful of spice & a few currants. Let them rise an hour & then stir in 1/2 lb of sugar. Put them in square tins & let them stand an hour & a half - & then bake in a moderate oven. - Oysters To one hundred oysters, a table spoonful of slt a half pint of wine a half pint of vinegar & a little mace. Lemon Puffs Beat & sift 1/4 of loaf sugar, grate the rinds of two lemons & mix it with the sugar, then beat the whites of 3 eggs & add to the rest & beat in for an hour - Bake it on paper in a moderate oven. - Chocolate biscuits. Take 12 eggs 1/2 lb of flour, 2 oz of chocolate scraped & pound through a sieve - 1/2 lb of firm sugar - beat the whole together for 15 minutes - bake on white papers. -
