Butter Pudding 1 qt milk, 1 pint of flour, 5 eggs - mix the butter with a little milk than add the remainder Apple Pudding Pare and chop 6 good [sized?] apples. Butter a pudding dish, and put in a layer of grated bread crumbs half an inch thick, add small bits of butter. Put in a layer of chopped apples with sugar and nutmeg, and repeat till the dish is full. Pour over the whole a cup of water and bake an hour. Lemon Pie 2 table spoon full of [maizena?] or Poland starch, 1 cup of boiling water, piece of butter half the size of an egg. Simmer over the fire. Then cool, and add 1 egg 1 cup sugar, juice and rind of one lemon, a little salt. This will fill 2 pies. Ginger Snaps 1 cup of butter 1 do sugar 1 do molasses teaspoon of soda & half cup of ginger. Mix stiff.
