2d - needle seam stich 26 stiches then put the cotton over twice & seam stich, narrowing 7 times then seam the next 26 as at the beginning, make 3d stripe - then seam stich narrowing 7 times then knit 26 plain seam stich & so on 3d needle like the first with the exception of twisting with the small needle, that must be done when 8 rows are knit - plain on the right side & seam stich on the other as directed above. - Draft for a counterpane in squares 2 stiches plain, when you commence then let off the 1st stich, then widen every second stich - widen it out till you knit 10 stiches, then knit 4 stiches plain, then let off two stiches seaming fashion, then knit 4 - knit 5 row, The back side seaming. -
