Apple cake. Take two cups of dried apple, soak all night, chop about as fine as raisins, simmer 1/2 in two cups of molasses, then add two cup of sugar, 2/3 cup of sour milk, one cup of butter, four eggs, five cups of flour, two teaspoonfuls of soda, cloves and cinnamon and other spice 1 teaspoonful each. 2 cups chopped raisins.
