Red Devil 2 c. sugar 3/4 c. butter 4 eggs beaten 3/4 c. cold water 1/4 c. hot water/ 1 tea. soda 2 rounding cup cake flour 2 sq. choc. pinch salt bake in mod oven Four min cake mix well 1 3/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 c c flour 3 t B.P. 1 t salt soften 1/2 cup shortening not runny. add 1 c. milk to shortening then add to above beaten 2 min. then add 2 whole eggs with out beating one at a time add 1 tea vanilla then beat 2 more min. Put in 350 degree oven and bake 35 min until done Mary Olsen Dec. 1st 43
