6 T. flour sifted c. f. 2 T cocoa. 1/2 t B.P. 1/4 t salt sift together 4 eggs seperated 3/4 c sugar 1 t vanilla put egg white in large bowl beat untill stiff add sugar and beaten egg yolks which have been beaten untill yellow Fold in sifted dry ingredients and vanilla, grease jello roll tins line with wax paper and greased paper good. bake in 400 degrees oven for 13 min. only other wise cake will have a hard crust, put on cloth slightly larger then pan. put p. sugar over it then turn cake on it let stand while you make the filling. on page 127
