Semi sweet cookie 1 c shorting 1/2 c B. sugar 1/2 c w sug 2 beaten eggs 2 T. orange juice 1 T orange rind 2 3/4 c. flour 1/4 t salt 1/4 t soda 1/2 c walnut meat 8 oz sweet choc bake 10 min in 350 F oven grape or blackberry jell Mash or crush berries or grapes enough to form a juice to cook them in, cook good then strain throu a thick cloth or sack 1 c. juice to 1 1/2 c sugar add sugar. while hot and stir untill disolved good then let cool 20 min. then pour in jars and seal or put in glasses and cover with parefine
