B.P. 1/2 # nuts chopped 1/2 # pine apple 1/2 # cherries 1/2 # orange 1/2 # lemon 1/2 # citron 1 # raisins whole 1 # currants whole 1/2 tes cinn. 1/2 tes cloves 1/2 tes mace 1 cup honey 1 cup syrup 1/2 cup sweet cider or other fruit juice Sift all dry ingredients together. cream shortening and sugar add beaten eggs then add syrup, honey & cider. bake in slow oven 3 to 3 1/2 hr. at 250 F. Mince meat Cake 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. mince meat 2 c. flour. cake F 1 1/2 T. cocoa 2 tesp B. P. 1/2 tesp salt 1/2 cup milk 1/3 cup nut meats
