Removal of Stains Blood & Meat Juice. Soak in cold water and rub with soap. Bluing. Boil 20 minutes and add vinegar if needed. Chocolate, Tea and Coffee Wet spot with cold water and cover with borax and wash in cold water. Pour on boiling water or use javelle water. Egg Wash in cold water and soap. Fruit and Fruit Juices Same as coffee stains. Grass Stains Wash with cold water and soap. Wet spot and add dry cream of tartar (and and equal amount of salt if goods are colored.) Keep over steaming kettle of water. Grease, Oil, or Cream. Warm water and soap. Use alcohol, benzine, chloroform, ether, gasoline or turpentine.
