16 tablespoonsfull of sugar 1 lemon or season to taste. Miss Shearer Lemmon Pies. To one lemmon grated juice & all, take four cups of water, two cups of sugar, two tablespoonsful of flour, make like apple pie or tart. Lemon pies delicious. "Gidey" For one pie, two lemons juice & rinds, two cups of water, one cup of milk, two tablespoonsful of cornstarch, the yolk of six eggs; bake it; then beat the whites of the eggs with eight tablespoonsfuls of fine white sugar, and pour over it; put it in the oven to dry.
