Sally Lund   Sift into a pan a pound & 1/2 of flour; make a hole in the middle, put in a 1/2 a 1/4 of butter warmed in a pint of milk, a little salt, 3 well beaten eggs, and 2 table_spoonsfull of good yeast. Mix the flour well into the other ingredients, put the whole into a square pan cover it, and when it is quite light, bake it in a moderate oven.  Silver Cake. One pound of sugar, three quarters of a pound of flour, half a pound of butter the whites of fourteen eggs.  Emma Herlings [Fried]  Golden Cake.  One pound of sugar, three quarters of pound of flour - half a pound of butter, yolks of fourteen eggs, the yellow part of two lemons grated juice & all.  White Cake.  Half a cup of butter, two of sugar, three of flour the whites of 8 eggs, one teaspoonful of soda.  2 of cream a tarter.  Tilly Cake.  One half cup of butter, two cups of sugar 3 eggs two thirds of a cup of milk, 3 cups of flour 6 teaspoonful soda
