Macaroons Sister Mary Half a pound of sweet almonds, 1/2 a pound of pulverized white sugar the whites of two eggs. Pound the almonds to a paste add to them the sugar and eggs - beat to a froth, work the whole well with the back of a spoon - roll thin in your hand in balls the size of a nutmeg - lay on a sheet of paper an inch a part bake in a cool oven a light brown -
