From Auntie [Kroker?] Green Tomato Higdon 1/2 bushel green tomatos pealed, 12 large green pipins and six small onions. Chop fine, add 1. cup of salt. Mix it trough and let it drain over night. Then press a little at a time, through a course towl, so as to extract all the water. Then add 10 ct worth of cinnamon, 6 ct worth of cloves ground fine, 1. cup of mustard seed, 1/2 cup of celery seed 1. tablespoonful of black peper. Mix all together pack in a jar not very tight. 3 [gls?] of [good?] vinegar. Sweeten [with abt?] four [cup?] boiling [sugar?]
