Fruit Cake 4 coffee cups of sifted flour 3 " "cups of nice brown sugar 2 cups of butter 8 eggs beatten seperate 2 pounds of raisins stoned 2 pound of currants mashed and dried 1/2 pound of citron cut fine 1 nutmeg 1 teaspoon each of cloves & cinnamon 1 teaspoon soda Cream the butter sugar add the yolks then spice. then flour in which the soda has been mixed the whites of eggs, last the fruit dredged in flour bake in a moderate oven about three hours.
