Thursday March 21st 1878 I went to town early this morning it was a pleasant walk. After I came back cut out four shirts and and helped with the ironing. I sewed all the afternoon and evening. Friday March 22nd 1878 Mother went to the valley to spend the day. I did the work and sewed what spare time I had and all the evening on the shirts and got them done. Weather splendid. Saturday March 23rd 1878 I got up early and cleaned up Mother's room before breakfast . I washed five quilts before noon and fixed some pillows up stairs. In the afternoon we took the carpet out of the dining room and cleaned it all up. Mother went to town and got paint for the kitchen and put on a coat before supper. I took everything out of the store room and gave it a good cleaning. I did some mending after supper. After the boys came from society we visited awhile. Another nice day.
