Tuesday April 2nd 1878. I baked cake and sowed the shirts this morning while [Hatt?] cleaned up the house. I finished his [polinaise?] this afternoon and did some house work. Mother was to town awhile in the afternoon. Rob came from Burlington today. [Hiraim Hart?] was home a few moments. I had a letter from [Mr?] Baily and Louise Cattrell. I wrote some invitations this morning. Our company came in the evening and all appeared to enjoy themselves. Wednesday April 3rd 1878. Rob is 24 years old today. I was busy sewing on my brown dress all day and evening. Went to bed rather early. Weather pleasant. Thursday April 4 1878 I was sewing all day and evening on my dress and a skirt I was fixing for [Hatt?]. Mother was to town in the afternoon. [Winnie?] and Lillie were here in the afternoon. Lil stayed till after supper. {Hatt?] and I spent the evening at [Wilde's?]. It has been a beautiful day.
